For our May Day celebrations, Year 4 pupils from Upwood Primary have been learning a dance based on our Spring Term topic, ‘Amazonian Adventures’, which was focused on rainforests. A dance coach came into school and taught the children a tribal dance, which allowed them to transform into scary tribes! The Year 4 children had a great time learning this dance, and worked tremendously hard towards their performance.

Year 4 pupils from Upwood Primary School have been learning about different units of measure this term, looking at centimetres, metres, millimetres, grams and kilograms. The children had to measure and weigh a range of objects in the classroom, before converting them into a different unit of measure. The Year 4 children all enjoyed estimating and measuring a range of objects, whilst learning along the way!

Year 4 pupils from Upwood Primary School have been lucky enough to be invited to participate in a local Art competition at the Upwood Village Christmas Fayre. The children were asked to create something that followed a Christmas theme; therefore we decided to make snowmen - out of socks! The Year 4 children all had a fantastic time designing and making their snowmen, which have turned out great! Good luck Year 4!

Year 4 have been busy practising a selection of Harvest songs, in preparation for our annual visit to the Manor House in Upwood. The children have had the opportunity to sing in groups, and have shown enjoyment in working together and learning about Harvest.
