Headteacher's Welcome Message

I would like to extend a very warm welcome to everyone who accesses this school website.

Upwood Primary School is a vibrant school where children are enthusiastic and motivated to achieve. The children are at the heart of every decision we make to ensure that they are happy, confident and that the opportunities that are provided for them are relevant to their needs both now and for the future.

We believe in ensuring that children receive a well-rounded curriculum, where individual talents can be spotted and nurtured to ensure that all children experience success and reach their full potential.

The school has a dedicated team that works hard to reach high standards in everything we do and this is further embedded through our successful relationships with parents and carers, the local community and other local schools.

If you have any questions that are not answered on this website, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone or email – we will be very happy to help.

Our Vision and Mission Statement

Our Mission Statement was recently reviewed and rewritten by our School Councillors, in collaboration with our Governing Body:

"We take pride in everything we do, working hard to achieve high levels in every subject. We support people and befriend others; our school is kind and caring. We encourage each other to do our best and to persevere, and to have passion for all we do. We set high standards and we strive to be outstanding in everything."
